A little about the person behind the books

Good bookkeeping starts with understanding the business.

Real-world experience, straightforward answers, and respect for the work it takes to keep a business running.

Meet your bookkeeper

I've been on the business side of the numbers.

I know bookkeeping isn't just about entering transactions. It's about making payroll, tracking costs, staying on top of invoices, understanding what a job really earned, and making sure the details don't get lost in the shuffle.

My background includes accounting and bookkeeping, project and nonprofit leadership, and hands-on financial operations for a pump, irrigation, and industrial service business. I've worked with the everyday challenges that come with inventory, job costing, customer billing, vendor accounts, and financial reporting.

I'm also a U.S. Army veteran, and I believe in doing what you say you'll do, paying attention to the details, and treating people with respect.

I started Making Cents of the Books to offer practical bookkeeping and business support without unnecessary complexity. You deserve to know where your money is going, what your work is earning, and what your numbers are telling you.

Whether you're a contractor, a service business owner, or someone who's simply tired of spending evenings catching up on the books, I'm here to help make the financial side of business easier to manage.
